If you’re interested in joining The Compton Players or simply want to find out a bit more about us, please do come along to our informal play reading on the 6th July at 7.30pm in the Welstead Room at Compton Village Hall, RG20 6NP. We’d love to get together, catch up, and have some fun reading scripts we haven’t read before, and to welcome any potential new members who’d like to get involved. No pressure, and we are a very friendly bunch! Choices of play to be confirmed, but we thought it might be fun to read an extract from something classic and something more current for a bit of contrast (and of course any suggestions will be most welcome!) If you have any questions just drop us a message on Facebook, and we look forward to seeing/meeting you!

Jason Twigger
We were incredibly sad to hear of Jason’s passing on 21st March this year. Several members were personal friends of his, and he and his wife were long time supporters of the Compton Players, regularly seen at our productions.
Our thoughts are with Jason’s wife Caroline, and his two children Joshua and Charlotte.
If anyone would like to donate to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance in his memory you can do so here:
Happy Acres under our belt
Wow! At times during rehearsal it looke a bit flaky, with the cast beset by illness, but as always it was alright on the night. We had some great audiences (thank you for all the laughter!) and an excellent review from the Newbury Weekly News – see it here.
Back from The Edinburgh Fringe!
And what a week it was! Again, huge thanks to The Compton Players, without whom we would never have made it to the world’s largest arts festival! Here are a couple of pictures of our week, along with links to our ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews!
