We’re delighted to announce that our Platinum Jubilee production of Richard III has been awarded an Accolade of Excellence by NODA! Director Helen Saxton says “This is the result of a year of hard work and dedication by a brilliant cast and crew – I’m so proud and pleased to have been a part of it. Thank you everyone!”
Greenham Trust Funding
2017 was a big year for The Compton Players: it was our Platinum Anniversary. Yes, 70 years since our first production, and we marked it with a big production – Richard III, which was in October.
Our funding bid was successful – thanks to the generosity of our Sponsors, Patrons and Supporters, and particularly to Greenham Trust, we reached our target and were able to install new LED lighting at Compton Village Hall. You can see the details of the project at our page on The Good Exchange.

Little Red Riding Hood at Rainbows
1st Compton Rainbows recently asked for our help in entertaining the Rainbows with a little mini panto! Thanks to Dave Hawkins for coming up with a brilliant Red Riding Hood in Rhyming Couplets, we had great fun on the night and raised £55 to put towards our next production budget. Thanks Rainbows!
